子どもの戸外遊びの実態と遊びに対する子どもと保護者の意識: 中国・内モンゴル呼和浩特市の小学校を事例として

内モンゴル自治区は，中国北部の辺境地域に位置し， 経済の発展は比較的遅れている地域である．しかし近 年，経済の高度発展に伴い，都市化が急速に進行し （図1），自然環境の減少や自動車の増加がみられる．%Inner Mongolia in northern China has been achieving remarkable development in economy and urbanization. Accordingly, the conditions involving children's play have been changing heavily, affecting their lives. In this study, we took up Hohhot, the center of politics, economy and culture of Inner Mongolia. Two average six-year elementary schools were selected for study. The targets of our questionnaire survey were the second and fifth graders as well as their guardians. The purpose of the investigation was two-fold; 1) to grasp the actual condition of the outdoor play after school as well as on Saturdays and Sundays, and 2) to grasp the attitudes of children and their guardians toward the play. The actual conditions including play time, play group and play space as well as the attitudes of children and their guardians toward the play led us to believe that the problems, which had been pointed out in Japan, such as the decrease of play time, the downsizing of play group, and the increase of indoor play had eventuated also in Hohhot in Inner Mongolia. Furthermore, we found that the downsizing of play group there was more serious than in Japan and that the participation of the guardians in the play of children was quite large there. We think that we need to continue our study of the children's play more in detail.
