摘要

This paper develops methods for constructing the approximations of offset curves using the rational Bezier representation. A new offset curve approximation method is introduced based on the iterative optimization of the points and the weights such that the approximated offset cubic curve interpolates four exact offset points. Finally the paper describes an overview of the effectiveness of our offset curve approximation method by examining several examples.
