By means of constructing DEA optimization model, this paper makes an empirical analysis on the environmental efficiency of electric power industry in 30 cities, provinces and municipalities of China. Firstly, with regard to the large-scale multiple correlated variables, this paper, for the sake of laying a foundation for including the optimized DEA model, proposes new methods to make a precise selection. Secondly, with the non-radial and non-angled Super-SBM model, it makes an analysis specific to the study on environmental efficiency in the scope of undesirable output. Finally, aiming at the disadvantages of DEA nonparametric model, this paper presents DEA optimization model based on disadvantage efficiency analysis. The empirical analysis demonstrates that the regions such as Qinghai, Shanghai, Hainan, Hubei and Beijing achieve relatively high comprehensive environmental efficiency of electric power industry.
