摘要

Low birth rate appears in the social structure; schools with ecological environment would present positive functions to students' environmental education through campus ecological environment reconstruction, ecological environment planning, and complete deployment of campus ecological environment. Campus environment is the optimum place for students' ecological education and learning that campus with good ecological environment would benefit the entire campus ecology. Taking universities in central and southern Taiwan as the research samples, Data Envelopment Analysis is used for evaluating the efficiency. The research results show that: (i) one Decision-making unit (DMU) presents strong-form efficiency on campus ecological environment, 5 DMUs reveal the efficiency between 0.9 and 1, and 6 DMUs appear the efficiency lower than 0.9; (ii) returns to scale and slack variable analysis are applied to analyse the improvement directions for excess and short inputs. According to the results, suggestions are eventually proposed, expecting to provide reference for the practitioners establishing campus ecological environment in the future so as to achieve the campus ecological environment with safety and ecology.
