Phenomenological Critical Realism:A Practical Method for LIS

Inquiry and praxis in education, while in no crisis, can incorporate some alternative conceptual frameworks. What is presented here is the potential that can be realized by melding two existing philosophical frameworks: phenomenology and critical realism. The result, phenomenological critical realism, holds promise for inquiry into information-related actions and behavior, instruction, and other activities. A description of the new framework is presented, along with suggestions for its application.
