Migration, Work and Citizenship in the New Global Order

摘要

Any study of migration in relation to work and citizenship has to take the current economic crisis into account. That is, although admittedly shortened and simplified, the main objective of this volume, published originally as a special issue of Globalizations (Issue 3, 2011). One of the volume's main contributions is to bring global migration trends to the fore and move away from the often prevalent Eurocentrism in current migration research. Due to the very theoretical approach taken in most of the texts, the book is aimed at researchers familiar with the current scholarly discourse on global migration.
