Chief of Airbus Defence and Space to leave company

The chief executive officer of Airbus' Defence and Space division for the past five years, Dirk Hoke, is leaving the company to pursue outside opportunities, the European aerospace manufacturer announced on 12 April. Hoke will be replaced by Michael Schoellhorn: a former German military helicopter pilot who joined Airbus as chief operating officer (COO) a little over two years ago. Several other Airbus executives are also moving into new roles. Alberto Gutierrez will succeed Schoellhorn as COO, Jean-Brice Dumont will replace Gutierrez as executive vice president for military aircraft, and Sabine Klauke will succeed Dumont as executive vice president for engineering.
