Coffee roasted in jail: its story in a pack

Zuivere Koffie collaborated with Metsae Board - leading European producer of premium fresh fibre paperboards - and with the converter, Remmert Dekker Packaging, in order to create a packaging capable of drawing the attention and supporting the special story of its new range of organic coffee: the first one in the world roasted in a prison. Zuivere Koffie offers motivated current and former prisoners a second chance by learning a new craft, giving them a fair chance of a successful return to society. For the outstanding package, have been created five different printed designs - one for each of the five different coffees in the range - with a graphic style similar to that of tattoos, rich with symbolism. To create packaging with good tactility, MetsaeBoard Classic FBB 290 g/m2 was selected thanks to its superior stiffness and excellent sensory and hygienic properties, which provided high performance in printing and converting.
