摘要

Mavel, the Czech-American-owned turbine manufacturer, announced mid-February that it had commissioned two of five low-head hydro projects in South Korea, and will complete the final three by this May. Under a contract signed in April 2010, Mavel is supplying 11 turbines with an installed capacity totalling about 16.2 MW, along with related equipment, for the Yipo, Gangjeong, Hapcheon, Nakdan and Seungcheon hydro plants. All of the projects will be equipped with Mavel's low head pit or bulb Kaplan turbine technology. The five projects are part of South Korea's 'Four Rivers Project', which will provide clean energy as well as regulate four major rivers. The owner of the projects is the Korea Water Resources Corporation.
