One of the principal elements of the 2019 CHINCOLD Annual Meeting in Kunming, in November, was the two-day 8th International Symposium on RCC Dams, hosted by CHINCOLD in collaboration with SPANCOLD. In Issue 6,2019, we reported on the opening ceremony and some of the keynote addresses. Below are some brief highlights from the technical sessions. One of the topics covered was the construction of RCC dams at remote and high altitude sites, and a full paper on this subject appears on pp 77-79.
