Faced with an ecological crisis, International Relations (IR) is increasingly grappling with the idea that we have entered the Anthropocene-the epoch in which humanity, anthropos, has become the determinant factor in the shaping of our planet. In Savage ecology: war and geopolitics at the end of the world, Jairus Victor Grove intervenes in this literature by drawing attention to the specifically international arrangements of power and violence that condition this contemporary global crisis.
