"Palm Tree M.D.s" (May 14, p. 90) contained many disparaging remarks about Ross University and its students. One such remark was directed at me: The school is said to have "seedy origins." It seems that accolade is awarded because when I founded the school in 1978 I was a "grain trader" and opened a for-profit school catering to American students not accepted at U.S. medical schools.
