It'sFresh! has partnered with numerous independent research organisations around the world, (such as Cranfield University, Writtle College, University of Arizona and Plant Science Inc) and produce suppliers (including Univeg and Total Worldfresh) to validate the performance of its technology with different kinds of fruit. It'sFresh is an ethylene-reduction technology that can be used from grower to consumer, making it particularly valuable for research purposes encompassing the entire supply chain. The Cranfield research is a culmination of more than three years' PhD study into ethylene removal in strawberries, using a statistically significant sample and producing groundbreaking results. Writtle College meanwhile investigated whether ethylene removal could offset the negative effects of a significant temperature breaks in the cool-chain prior to the 'Display Until' date-as might be experienced through problems in the supply chain and/or transport home after purchase.
