Ernst Vossnack, the maverick Dutch naval architect who has opposed the inconsistencies of gross tonnage (GT) for several years, has welcomed the decision of Lloyd's Register (LR) and Germanischer Lloyd (GL) to promote the reduction in the GT of V.Ships' ten open container vessels.
