Bullish sentiments, which have been few and far between in the tanker trades, have returned to the VLCC market, with rates firming from both west Africa and the Gulf.rnTime charter equivalent (TCE) earnings for voyages from the Gulf to Japan (TD3) have risen to W67.5 by Braemar Seascope's reckoning. This estimate was nearly equalled by the Baltic Exchange's assessment a day later, 16 March, of 65.78 for the route (see table).
