Non-Traditional Trade Marks in Europe: An Historical Snapshot of Applications and Registrations

摘要

This article presents findings from an empirical study on the application and registration of non-traditional marks in Europe from 1996 to 2017. The study canvasses the key trends emerging from this data. It also provides the foundation for future research in light of recent changes to European trade mark law, which are likely to affect registration practices moving forward.
