Ecofeminism has long been recognized as an important source of critical commentary about, and original insight into, issues of concern to feminists and environmentalists alike. Similar to many other philosophical movements or schools of thought, however, ecofeminist philosophy is as diverse as it is unified, and in Nature Ethics: An Ecofeminist Perspective well-known scholar and activist Marti Kheel develops a line of argument which both differentiates her from other leading thinkers in this field, and confirms her place among them.
