US: FDA sets new DEHP standard for bottled water

Starting April 2012, United States bottled water makers must monitor their water sources and finished bottled water products for di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP) at least once a year, unless they meet the criteria for source water monitoring exemptions under the current Good Manufacturing Practices regulations, according to the US Food and Drug Administration's (FDA's) final rule, published last month in the Federal Register.
