Allow Hands-On Math in K-12

Istrongly believe that access to meaningful mathematics courses is a civil rights issue. So although married with three children, I announced my intent on March 16 to stage a hunger strike in a tent in public, starting April 1. My protest ought to interest the construction industry. Facing a worsening labor shortage and needing more mathematically trained minorities, the industry ought to insist that educators help students see the connections between math content and real-life applications.
