Precast Buildings with Concrete Monolithic Roof Systems Provide Durability and Long Life

From water treatment plants to government facilities, large industrial structures create unique roofing challenges for owners. Ideally, the roof should behave as a monolithic unit, providing complete leak-protection from rain and snow. The advantage of a pre-engineered Easi-Span precast structure is its unique one-piece clear-span roof section (designed for 60 psf live load) that spans the entire width of the building. The Easi-Span roof section has a low-profile gable appearance with an optional architectural ribbed edge incorporating a "turn-down" feature that prevents water migration to the interior. Each roof section is either post-tensioned or pre-stressed depending upon the width.
