“Ideological and political theory teaching in all courses” is an inevitable requirement of the reform of ideological and political education in colleges and universities. College classroom teaching contains abundant knowledge and ideological and political education, and an important part of the reform of education and teaching under the background of the “ideological and political theory teaching in all courses”. Teachers are the key to the practical effect of “ideological and political theory teaching in all courses”, therefore, this paper puts forward the new requirement for college foreign language teachers’ career development and role transition under the background of “ideological and political theory teaching in all courses”, and the practical dilemma faced by college foreign language teachers’ career development under the new situation.
