Multiple oral ulcerations – An initial manifestation of COVID 19 infection: A personal experience!!

Sincethefag end ofthe year 2019, thesevereacuterespiratory syndromecoronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) hascaused the COVID-19 infection, which has taken agruesomefaceand transformed itselfinto a pandemicaffecting the worldwide population.[1] The COVID-19 epidemic has resulted in serious threats to overall healthand generalwell being,causing serious psychologicaltribulations such as stress, insomnia,anxiety and depressive psychosis.[2]In terms ofclinicalsymptoms, Coronavirus diseaseisassociated with a variableinflammatory reaction thatcan induce vascular inflammation.[3] According to theCDC, people may startexperiencing symptoms 2–14 daysafterexposureto the virus. Patients may report with various symptoms such as fever,cough, shortness ofbreath or difficulty in breathing, sorethroat,congestion orarunny nose, fatigue, headacheand muscle pain. Adding to this broad list ofsymptoms, loss ofsmellandtastein theearly phases oftheinfection could also enable us to identify 87.5%ofsymptomatic COVID-19 cases.
