摘要

Introduction: Snake bite, an occupational health hazard, causing highmortality and morbidity in tropical developing countries. Snake venominduced acute kidney injury (SAKI) is one of the major cause of highdeath rate and long term consequences. However, the risk assessment ofprogression of SAKI to CKD (chronic kidney disease) is not studied well. The aim of the study is to investigate the clinical parameters in snake bitepatients in a long term follow up and to evaluate the renal injury andfunctional markers to assess the risk for progression of SAKI to CKD.
