Improvement of the Key Competence of Learning to Learn Among University Students: The Install Project

摘要

This paper focuses on the improvement of the competence of Learning to Learn and of reflexivity within the specific context of non-traditional and disadvantaged students in Higher Education. The social and academic importance of these students’ groups is stressed. We will then present the rationale and the methodology of the European funded INSTALL project (INnovative Solutions To Acquire Learning to Learn), through the design, validation, implementation and evaluation of a training course based on narrative tools, targeting first year undergraduate students with academic delay. The goal of INSTALL has been to develop the key competence of learning to learn and reflexive ability. The results of the intervention confirm the improvement of students’ reflexivity following the result of the training proposed.
