Criteria of the School Grade of Physical Education Perceived by Teachers

The study aimed at recognizing criteria of grades in physical education perceived by teachers. The study involved 68 teachers of physical education: 40 women and 28 men. Participants of the study were postgraduate students of the Physical Education Faculty at the Pawe? Wo?odkowic Higher School in P?ock. A questionnaire containing 15 closed questions was specifically designed for the purpose of this study. Questions were arranged into 3 blocks: attitude of students toward physical education, attitude to the teacher, and attitude to the realized activities. Analysis of the obtained data has showed that pupils more frequently trusted female teachers than male teachers. Pupils more often talked with female teachers about their problems not related to the physical education programs, declared a will to participated in the extra programs, and shared an opinion that the variety of exercises is accepted by them. Male teachers, contrary to female teachers, more often noted behavior confirming discipline of their pupils (i.e. coming to the gym in time), a will to participate in the sports activities, and acceptance of both intensity and pace of exercises any time.
