摘要

The aim of this paper is to present an implemented interactive virtual and realistic environment which can assist the educational process of electric power system subjects where exist real laboratory modules and virtual computer based environment. Computer based technologies are becoming more and more widespread in the field of education. Lab Volt Virtual Laboratory software recreates a classroom virtual laboratory. The virtual equipments which can be installed in the virtual laboratory reproduce real Lab-Volt analog modules in operation and in appearance as well. This modular program provides new opportunities for laboratory observations for the study of electric power technology. Presented in a basic subsystem and special applications format, the program incorporates various techniques for generate and using electrical energy. Essentially the students do the same activities in Virtual Laboratory followed by a real classroom laboratory. In fact they are three – dimensional replicas of workbench, power unit, and basic electrical power components included in the actual Lab-Volt Electrical Power Systems. These replicas operate in the same way as does the real actual equipment. This feature of the LVVL and equipments allow students to use a personal computer performing the same activities that can be carried out using real actual Lab-Volt training equipment.
