Left main coronary artery aneurysm in a young male presenting as acute myocardial infarction—A case report

Coronary artery aneurysms are identified in 0.15–4.5% of coronary angiograms. Aneurysm of left main coronary artery (LMCA) with other normal arteries is rare entity. They are usually of atherosclerotic in origin, and may be congenital or secondary to injury, dissection, infection, inflammation, or Kawasaki disease. Herein we report a case of 24-year-old male smoker with acute myocardial infarction. Coronary angiography showed large LMCA aneurysm with thrombus with totally occluded left circumflex artery. Exclusion of aneurysm with distal bypass grafting was performed.
