A method for diagnosis of aneurysm of the left ventricle in patients with acute Q-myocardial infarction by imaging the left ventricle by echocardiography. The local contractility of 16 segments of the left ventricle is estimated in points, segments with impaired contractile ability are identified, the index of local contractile disorders is calculated as the sum of points, which characterizes each affected segment, divided by the total number of affected segmentsand when the value of this ratio more 23 the aneurysm of the left ventricle is diagnosed.
