摘要

Children’s cerebral paralysis is still a common pathology in childrenand it is often combined with moderate mental retardation. Atthe same time, the e?ectiveness of the schemes used for therehabilitation of such children remains low. The purpose of this studywas to evaluate the e?ectiveness of the method developed by theauthors, including curative gymnastics, orthopedic adaptations, andequipment in children aged 6-10 years old with cerebral paralysisand moderate mental retardation. The study was performed on33 children aged 6-10 years old with infantile cerebral palsy andmoderate mental retardation in which 17 children were classifedinto the experimental group and the rest made up the controlgroup. All the children examined had spastic diplegia or spastictetraparesis. In the experimental group, the authors developed anoption of complex correction with the help of medical gymnastics, strength training, orthoses, and verticals. In the control group, thetraditional scheme of correction of infantile cerebral palsy wasapplied. In both groups, the dynamics of motor skills were assessedaccording to the Chailly scale, goniometry of the knee joints, thelevel of spasticity of muscles, the strength of the quadriceps muscleof the thigh. The results are processed by Student’s test. As a resultof the sessions, all the subjects observed a positive dynamics of theindicators taken into account. More pronounced positive dynamicsof the strength of the quadriceps femoris muscle (by 19.0%), thelevel of the motor skill in di?erent starting positions (from 9.8%to 28.5%), and spasticity of the limb (3.1 times) were noted inthe experimental group. The dynamics of the amplitude of kneeextension in both groups of observations was comparable. The useof the developed methodology in the daily practice of rehabilitationcan increase the e?ectiveness of rehabilitation in children withinfantile cerebral paralysis with moderate mental retardation andincrease their social integration.
