Tactical micro-robots

摘要

The Office of the US Secretary of Defense published an Unmanned Systems Roadmap (2009-2034) that specified four mission areas where unmanned systems could improve operational capabilities. These are: 1. Reconnaissance and surveillance; 2. Target identification and designation; 3. Counter-IED; 4. CBRN reconnaissance. Ground robotics enhance dismounted effectiveness in counter-IED, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and the search, inspection and exploitation of enclosed spaces.
