Industry output declines for third month

The sector's downturn continued in July, as output declined for the third month in a row, the latest PMI data shows. Economic conditions and political uncertainty were blamed for a sharp drop in new-order intakes. Commercial construction was the worst-performing category for overall activity, closely followed by civil engineering.
