摘要

This paper presents a parallel finite element method for the analysis of the sloshing problem caused by earthquakes. The incompressible Navier-Stokes equation based on Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian description is used as the governing equation. The SUPG/PSPG formulation is employed to improve the numerical stability and the accuracy. Parallel implementation of the unstructured grid based formulation was carried out on a PC cluster. The present method was applied to analyses the sloshing problem of a rectangular tank and an actual reservoir. The effect of parallelization on the efficiency of the computations was examined using a number of different network environments.
