感性の評価から質的研究を考える: 定量的な感性の評価で失われたものはどこで補うのか

摘要

In recent years, the importance of qualitative, as opposed to quantitative, research has become a focus of discussion. Quantitative and qualitative research are not to be understood as conflicting with one another, but rather as approaches that mutually compensate for each other's inefficiencies, and which complement each other's strengths, to yield the best possible research results. It is expected that the integration of qualitative and quantitative research will be increasingly necessary in the future. This paper reviews the outline of quantitative research, and examines the roles of quantitative and qualitative research in terms of Kansei evaluation, by focusing on loss and/or conversion miscalculations which typically occur in attempts to quantify elements that cannot be measured numerically, such as people's Kansei.%感性工学の中心的な課題の一つに感性評価の問題があり，現在までいくつかの評価手法は提案されているが，どの手法が一番良いのかということについての一般的な解答はまだ得られていない．現在では，それぞれの目的に応じて評価法を適用しているものが多い．
