摘要

A new class of shape-persistent coordination motifs bearing integrated design features that allow reporting of molecular-level perturbations, and their colorimetric and luminescent responses to metal ions, are described.rnThe pursuit of new structural motifs in coordination and supramolecular chemistry continues unabated. There has been considerable focus on the rational design and development of coordination frameworks and multinuclear supramolecular architectures, based on multidentate O-donors and especially Schiff bases, to mediate novel self-assembly processes, for applications in separation and ion transport, and as intricate multifunctional cooperative and biomimetic catalysts.
