A former Heritage Lottery Fund chief, a museum director and a former head of a water company are among four new Trustees to be appointed to the board of the Canal & River Trust in September. Under CRT's rules, the members of its Board of Trustees (unpaid non-executive directors responsible for directing the Trust's high level strategy and vision) cannot serve more than two terms of up to three years each (other than the Chair, who can serve three terms). Tom Franklin and Simon Thurley will, therefore, need to stand down in September, while Steve Shine has already left.
