The PT-DZ21K series of projectors is on its way to becoming a standard. It was an instant hit upon launch, and now commands top share of the market. Panasonic's Morio Matsumoto, an engineer on the product development team, discussed the underlying mindset behind the project, which he believes is the secret of the projector's success. "Our goal was a so-called half concept, or to cut size,rnweight, and power consumption in half," he says. "We believed the resulting mobility of the product would satisfy the customer, and reduce on total cost of ownership, as well."
