The price of both oil and gas is low - way low. That's great when filling up your car at the pump, but not so great for the oil and gas companies' bottom line. While oil and gas companies won't garner much sympathy on Main Street, the furlough or release of staff at firms puts the squeeze on all related service industry providers. Thus the industry is looking for new ways to increase their revenue; geothermal energy is a solution.
