To the readers of Automotive Fleet, GM Fleet and Commercial Operations is proud to sponsor this year's "Fuel Management Resource Guide," because this subject represents one of the most pressing issues facing our planet. We are working to reinvent the automobile at GM by achieving improvements in fuel efficiency and environmental impact. This is all part of the massive change that's happening at GM today as we ramp up to GM's centennial and the start of our second century on September 16,2008. Few, if any, other companies have become international business icons in the way GM has. But although it's our 100th anniversary, we're not spending a lot of time looking backward.
