This book is a practical, step-by-step guide to mentoring students in an academic library. Mentoring can be a fulfilling process for students as they learn to interact in a workplace team, gain new skills, build confidence and learn to become a valuable worker. There are plenty of anecdotal stories about mentoring students that vary from the good to the difficu however, there is very little written on the field of mentoring students in libraries.
