Children's Literature on Recycling: What Does it Contribute to Environmental Literacy?

摘要

This article addresses the content and use of children's literature to teach about recycling. Twenty children's books were examined using a coding system created to compare and generalize about the content of the books. It was found that although the books can be useful for providing basic information they fall short in asking children to think critically about recycling.
