QEric Burrows, in a question V^posted online, says Reading was bombed in February 1943 (he thinks it was the only occasion), and remembers the bomber as a Ju 88 or possibly a Do 17. The internet has no information on the raid or casualties. Can anyone offer further information? A Neil Dowdell says the raid took place at 4.35 p.m. on February 10,1943. The aircraft was a Dornier Do 217E-4 of 5/KG40, probably F8+AN, flown by Obit Kleeman, while Do 217 F8+IN, flown by Oberfw Schneider, attacked Newbury about the same time.
