QIn the May issue, Bill Clark asked for the names of aircrew on an 'overcrowded' No 56 Squadron Meteor F8. ARetired Gp Capt Chris Christie e-mailed to say that he believed the picture formed the squadron Christmas card for 1952 when 56 was at Waterbeach. Chris arrived on the squadron as a junior pilot soon after it was taken and says he knew all those in the picture. Names he can recall include USAF exchange pilot Jack Brodie, Ted Clowes, Mike Daulby, John Gledhill, Al Harvey, Bob Herbert, Les Howes, Harry Hopkins, John Hobbs, Harry Marvin, Sgt Mitchell, Mac McCaig, Stan Pomfret, Roy Rimington, Bill Sykes, Reggie Spooner (CO), Bernie Sercombe, Norman Tindall, and Neil Wirrasinge. Mike Warwick also appears, the pilot Chris replaced following his loss in a flying accident in early 1953. Only four of the others are still alive.
