A polymorphic papulosquamous rash with micaceous scales

A previously healthy 16-year-old girl presented with a 2 years’ history of an erythematous rash that started on her lower abdomen and spread to all her limbs within 2 weeks. The rash further spread to her upper back and flank while the rash on the abdomen resolved with hypopigmentation. The rash was raised, erythematous with silvery scales, not pruritic, and not painful. There was no preceding history of sore throat or exposure to infectious diseases. She was not on any medications. There was no associated fever, diarrhea, joint swelling, arthralgia, or oral ulcers.
