摘要

Independent and inter-dependent effects of NCF1 and NOS2 play a dual role in EAE. NCF1 deficiency slightly suppressed the severity and delayed the onset of EAE in mice with normal NOS2. A combined NOS- and NCF1-deficient mice developed an enhanced EAE, together with early onset forms of the disease. In and , the number of mice that developed EAE and the total number of mice in each group are stated in brackets. No mice died before the endpoint. * < 0.05 and ** < 0.01 as determined in and by the Mann-Whitney test. the interaction values of the two-way ANOVA tables for both mean severity and onset day are less than 0.01, reaching the statistical significance. In , each sign stands for a mouse, and experimental mice of four strains were collected from and and Additional file 1c and 1d
