BackgroundWhile patients with bullous pemphigoid (BP) have increased mortality rates compared with age-matched counterparts, the specific causes of death have not been evaluated systematically. We sought to characterize the causes of death in patients with BP as recorded by death certificate and compare to age- and location-matched control death data.
