Patterns and Profiles of Adolescent Tobacco Users: Results From the Virginia Youth Survey

BackgroundCigarette smoking has decreased to a record low among youth across the United States, including in Virginia. Rates of alternative tobacco use, however, are rising and polytobacco use is common. A better understanding of the shifting use patterns and associated risk factors is important for informing tobacco prevention, cessation, and policy efforts.
