Background:Patient activation is a significant predictor of health behaviors; however, the level of activation in people attending a pulmonary rehabilitation program and the effect of pulmonary rehabilitation on patient activation have not been measured. Furthermore, the potential determinants and relationship between patient activation and characteristics of people attending pulmonary rehabilitation have not previously been reported.
