BackgroundWe conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy of anti-programmed cell death 1 (PD-1)/programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) monotherapy or immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy and further estimated the value of PD-L1 expression in predicting the response from anti-PD-1/PD-L1 treatments as monotherapy or in combination with chemotherapy.
