Objective To investigate the expression of osteopontin (OPN) and CD44v6 in human gliomas and their clini-cal significance. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expressions of OPN and CD44v6 in 60 specimens of brain gliomas and 60 specimens of normal brain tissues. The relationships between OPN and CD44v6 expressions and their correlation with clinical characteristics were analyzed. Results The positive expression rates of OPN and CD44v6 in brain gliomas were 75%and 67.7%, respectively, while those in normal brain tissue were 16.7% and 13.3%, respectively (P<0.05). There are significant differences in expressions of OPN and CD44v6 between gliomas grade III-IV and grade I-II, and between tumor with recurrence and without recurrence;however their expressions were not related to age, sex and tumor locations of pa-tients(P>0.05). The expression of OPN is positively correlated with CD44v6(r=0.65, P<0.01). Conclusion The expressions of osteopontin and CD44v6 are closely related to the malignant behaviors of glioma, and their expressions are correlated with each other.% 目的检测OPN、CD44v6在脑胶质瘤中的表达水平，探讨两者与脑胶质瘤临床特征的关系以及意义。方法应用免疫组化SP法检测60例胶质瘤和60例减压手术中切除的正常脑组织中OPN和CD44v6的表达水平，并对两者的表达水平与脑胶质瘤临床特征进行分析。结果 OPN、CD44v6表达阳性率在脑胶质瘤中分别为75.0%、66.7%，在正常脑组织中分别为16.7%、13.3%，差异均有统计学意义（均P＜0.05）。脑胶质瘤中OPN、CD44v6的表达水平均与患者的年龄、性别、肿瘤部位无关（均P＞0.05），但在复发与非复发者、高级别胶质瘤（Ⅲ~Ⅳ级）与低级别胶质瘤（Ⅰ~Ⅱ级）之间差异均有统计学意义（均P＜0.05），而且两者表达水平呈显著正相关（r=0.65，P＜0.01）。结论 OPN和CD44v6在脑胶质瘤中高表达，两者均反映了脑胶质瘤的生物学特性，并与患者预后有关，且OPN和CD44v6的表达之间有内在联系。
