For the problems present in the process of constructing ecology city, such as the lack of zonal plant species and the serious landscape homogenization, some measures were put forward in this paper, including developing ornamental plants with Chinese characteristics in designed and reasonable ways and carrying out regional plant species planning. The landscape plant species and application status of native plants in Luoyang City were also investigated. The results showed that the usage ration of native plants was the highest in deciduous arbors (84. 66% ) , and the lowest in evergreen broadleaved trees (10% ). The studies of selection, breeding and distribution of native plants should be carried out, and some suggestions on highlighting the regional characteristics of road greening and strengthening the protection to ancient and rare trees were put forward based on the investigation results. It provided reference and basis for constructing the landscape and eco - city with regional characteristics in Luoyang.%针对目前我国生态城建设中存在的地带性植物种类缺乏、景观同质化现象严重等突出问题,提出了有计划、合理地开发有中国特色园林植物及开展区域性植物物种规划等解决对策；对洛阳市园林绿化树种及乡土植物的应用现状开展调查,结果显示落叶乔木中乡土植物所占比例最高,达84.66％,而在常绿阔叶乔木中仅占10％.针对乡土植物应用频率低及行道树种相对单一等问题,提出了大力开展乡土植物的选择、繁育及园林配置等相关研究,突出道路绿化的地域性特色及进一步加大对古树名木的保护力度等建议,为打造具有洛阳地域特色的园林景观提供参考依据,也为构建特色生态洛阳奠定基础.
